Our Thyristor-Based Medium Voltage Soft Starter is an advanced, electronic, and intelligent solid-state motor starting solution designed for precise control of AC motors across a wide range of industrial applications. It offers multiple motor acceleration methods and can be programmed to match the specific requirements of virtually any motor-load combination.
Built using high-power thyristors (SCRs) in series as the primary switching components, the system regulates motor voltage by controlling the firing angle of the thyristors, enabling smooth and controlled motor starting.

Operating Principle:
The soft starter controls the motor voltage by adjusting the thyristor firing angle, allowing precise control of starting current and torque. Once the motor reaches full speed and current stabilizes, the bypass contactor engages, routing power around the thyristor stack to minimize heat generation and improve efficiency. At this stage, the motor operates at full line voltage.
